The projext

The Museumgrandtour Centre for Documentation, a virtual gallery designed to showcase the vast cultural heritage of the Castelli Romani and Prenestini, is now online.

In this first phase, the project will involve the collections of the museum institutes adhering to the System, and will be documented with files supported by images and, where available, by historical photographic documentation and films.

While ambitious, the objective is to gradually document the historical and artistic heritage present in the entire area covered by the Museum System, and hopefully, that which refers to and comes from our territory but is conserved elsewhere, which is equally as vast.

Users can search by type of material, place or even certain macro-themes that characterise the appearance and history of the area.
